Dear friends,
Wow, I was just getting used to writing 2011 and now here we are entering 2012 already. Does that happen to you? I do feel excited about all the possibilities that lie ahead and I also feel proud, and even a little sad, about all that happened this past year being over. It reminds me of watching Lucy grow and feeling that wonder and amazement at all she is becoming, while still sometimes mourning a bit the days that will never come again. This past year our Party Day! DVD was such a large and fulfilling project. Also making the One Seed video (watch it on YouTube for free) with the wonderful Seventh Generation, creating our first ever animated video (Candy Cane Jane - all by ourselves!) and making our first ebook Party Day, Barnes & Noble's First Original NOOK Kids™ Read and Play™ NOOK Kids™ Book. It has cool animated parts and even some interactive games in it! These were all such new and fun undertakings for us. I really hope you've been enjoying them as well!
As 2012 begins I wish you the SPACE for CREATIVITY to blossom in your lives, the time to SLOW DOWN and ENJOY the growth of your children, the OPENNESS to fully experience all the LOVE you have for, and from, your families, and the KINDNESS to FORGIVE yourself when everything seems like it's just too much.
Oh, and Happy New Year!
Love,
Laurie
I am team building for the schoolbus-TV project. This is the first of its kind in the nation. Garland, TX (300 buses) is where the project launches. We have funded the initial deployment on 35 buses, and would like to recover this funding through corporate sponsors & trigger a nationwide deployment to 480,000 school buses nationwide. 26 million kids travel on these buses twice everyday. The goal is to attract sponsor companies that want their logos, names and "edu-taining" videos to be recognized by the kids and also to do some good for the kids by funding this interactive initiative called schoolbus-TV which addresses issues like, bullying, health, fitness, environment, safety... etc to the captive kids on school buses. Would you be interested in being part of this exciting phenomenon?

Happy New Year Laurie! and congratulations on such a busy and productive 2011. I know what you mean about that bittersweet thing. My Lucy is a junior in High School!
